The Avenue: is a non-profit agency that provides another way for the youth of today. The avenue shows youth a way of life that perhaps has not been introduced to them. The Avenue is a proactive organization, it helps the youth make wise decisions before deviant behavior occurs. This program will help the entire community. Our responsibilities include: Providing vocational training and entrepreneurial experience (RIMS) Early gang prevention & intervention Providing cultural education & appreciation through programs and speakers, Counseling, Mentoring Protection, and Guidance for latch key children, Academic assistance Providing positive role models. Providing nutritional meals Providing awareness for families & the community Teen parenting, sex education & health talk
