Founded in 1986, the Sooner Golden Retriever Rescue is dedicated to placing unwanted Golden Retrievers in good homes and educating the public about Goldens and their needs. Our objectives are: to encourage and promote responsible dog ownership; to reduce the abuse and neglect of unwanted Goldens through rehabilitation and adoption; to provide medical care, foster care, and adoptive homes for Goldens who are abandoned, mistreated, neglected, or left in shelters; to educate dog owners about training, spay/neuter, humane care, and to promote canine good citizenship.
