It's National EMS Week, and we want to say thank you to every member of our team! As team members, EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) is our baseline medical certification. This means months of schooling initially and dozens of hours of training, hands-on scenario-based practice, and recertification every two years. This is a requirement for field deployment with SMSR. As we operate in the wilderness, these skills are essential as the environment is austere and rapid transportation is often not immediately available. Since 1974 National EMS Week raised awareness about the critical role of EMS in public health.
