NWU staff Silvio Nieto Duran will be hosting a graduation celebration in Spanish in Grants Pass for the participants in Josephine County who recently completed the Resilience Matched Savings Program (RMSP). RMSP was funded by Business Oregon through its Economic Equity Investment Program and through Oregon Housing and Community Services' Homeownership Assistant Program (HOAP) and Language Access and Community Outreach and Engagement (LACOE) program. Each participant gained financial education and financial counseling and successfully saved $500. Those funds were matched 5:1 for emergency savings. At the same event, Alex Alonso, our Director of Climate Resilience, will present new information about our Climate Resilience and Home Repair programs in Spanish.
