Broadway Advocacy Coalition In 2016 a group of Broadway actors and activists joined together to answer a question How can the arts play a more meaningful role in creating a just world. Frustrated by both the countrys and theater industrys response or lack thereof to the nations pandemic of racism those artivists sensed a different strategy was needed to tackle todays most pressing issues. That impulse grew into the Broadway Advocacy Coalition a boundarypushing advocacy nonprofit utilizing workshops coalition building leadership development and Impact Projects to create more humane policies. Led by a team of visionary artivists educators and advocates BAC is creating a new way to collaborate towards a just world.
