The Galloping Goose Historical Society operates the Rio Grande Southern Railroad museum in Dolores, Colorado and maintains and operates Galloping Goose 5. The mission of the Galloping Goose Historical Society is to preserve the history of the Rio Grande Southern Railroad (RGS) and the surrounding area. It operates a railroad museum and runs RGS Goose #5, a historic railcar, at the museum and at local area narrow gauge railroads.
