A non-profit foundation established to ensure a sustainable alpaca industry. The National Alpaca Foundation engages in educational activities, youth development activities, and other charitable and scientific activities relating to alpacas for the benefit of the public. Examples of such activities include, but are not limited to: grants for educational speakers and youth programs, providing scholarships to veterinary students concentrating on large animals including camelids, providing scholarships to students studying the use of alpaca fiber, and educating the general public about alpacas.
