Empowering Lives Near and Abroad Journey to Freedom is a global nonprofit organization transforming lives holistically by empowering others to heal from the inside and out addressing deeply rooted issues of the heart such as lack of forgiveness as well as essential external concerns such as food education healthcare and employment. As we began 2025 Journey to Freedom reflected on a year of transformative milestones and meaningful connections. During our annual trip to Africa in September we reached over 3000 individuals with the Gospel held two impactful clinics and distributed essential goods to those in need. Among the many highlights we celebrated the 60th birthday of our founder and visionary Vickie CoakleyThornton with a joyous weekend marked by a surprise visit from our Kenyan partner Solomon Nabie.
