Helping justice-involved mothers keep their children. www.PharaohsDaughterNC.org The Need: Each day in North Carolina, 60 imprisoned women are deciding whether to trust their baby to the environment they grew up in or to foster care, relinquishing their parental rights. Our Solution: To raise babies born to inmates until their mothers are released and then equip the mothers with the life skills they need to thrive independently and successfully in the world with their family. This innovative approach lets us leverage the parent-child bond and reach two generations at once to help them change their life stories. Our Mission: Help justice-impacted mothers keep their children. Our Vision: Every family impacted by the criminal justice system living free of the entrapments of poverty, incarceration, and recidivism.

Pharaoh’s Daughter Hope for imprisoned moms and their kids. The PROBLEM Nearly 100 babies are born into the NC prison system every year. Many of those children end up in foster careand can be found right back in prison a few tender years later. Whenever a mom is given no other choice than to place her newborn baby into foster care she must relinquish her rights which means she may never be united with her child again.
