Candy has called her Valley Junction home since 1993, a lifelong dream realized through years of hard work and sacrifice. As a former CNA with deep roots in the community, she poured her energy into caring for others. But in recent years, she faced unimaginable loss and mounting repairs she couldn’t manage alone. That’s when Rebuilding Together Greater Des Moines stepped in. Volunteers replaced her leaking roof, repaired her windows, restored her garage and fence and added safety features so she can live independently. Her home is more than safe again.
