Welcome Childs Place is a childrens advocacy center CAC that provides services to children who are victims of crime or witnesses significant violence. The purpose of a CAC is to provide a safe childfriendly neutral location for victims of crimes to tell about their experience and receive advocacy services to assist in the healing process. At a CAC the child is able to meet with a trained interviewer who gathers information about the incident using a childled and developmentally appropriate protocol. During the interview a multidisciplinaryteam MDT of law enforcement child protection prosecution and mental health are able to observe the interview.
