STAND is a nonprofit in Stockton that works on community policing, selling homes to low-income families, and providing activities for children. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO IMPROVE TARGETED NEIGHBORHOODS THROUGH COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, AND REDUCTION OF DRUG ACTIVITY. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES LOW-INCOME HOUSING THROUGH LEASING OF PROPERTY IT OWNS.

Residents Together We Empower Positive Change STAND An Overview STAND is a group of residents working together in our South East Stockton neighborhood centered at Airport Way and East 8th Street. Since 1991 we have worked to make our neighborhood of minority and lowincome residents a safer and more desirable place to live. We advocate and coordinate Community Policing in our area. In 1991 the crack cocaine epidemic plagued us.
