STAND is a nonprofit in Stockton that works on community policing, selling homes to low-income families, and providing activities for children. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO IMPROVE TARGETED NEIGHBORHOODS THROUGH COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, AND REDUCTION OF DRUG ACTIVITY. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES LOW-INCOME HOUSING THROUGH LEASING OF PROPERTY IT OWNS.

Since 1991 we have worked to make our neighborhood of minority and lowincome residents a safer and more desirable place to live. We advocate and coordinate Community Policing in our area. In 1991 the crack cocaine epidemic plagued us.
