Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation Healthcare Providing healthcare for the Greater Fairbanks community Community Owned and Operated The Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation GFCHF is a nonprofit corporation founded in 1968 by a group of community volunteers who wanted local healthcare under local control. Todays stewards of the Foundation are a board of community members who donate their time and expertise to guide and protect this legacy. In 2016 contract negotiations stalled with our then operator Banner Health. The GFCHFboard stayed true to our founding principal of local control and created Foundation Health Partners a local operator whose sole focus is providing the best care for our community.
