Supporting indigenous communities in resistance with resources/training for autonomy in education, literacy, health, and productive community projects. Schools for Chiapas accompanies the autonomous indigenous communities of Chiapas, Mexico in building Schools for Chiapas promotes knowledge sharing and education to resist the devastation of peoples and the planet. We work alongside organized communities in Chiapas in popular education, community health and ecological production to strengthen autonomy in defense of their cultures and territories. Through dissemination, workshops and training for action, we work to foster solidarity, critical thought and networks of mutual aid. We join autonomous indigenous communities, collectives and individuals in struggle internationally and in Chiapas to build just alternatives to destructive globalization in defense of life.
