Society Mobile-La Habana Inc
The Society Mobile - La Habana is the official sister city organization between Mobile, Alabama and Havana, Cuba. The Society is an Alabama non-profit corporation incorporated in 1993. The purpose of the Society is to promote the interchange of arts, culture and educational activities between the cities. eExemplar activities include sponsoring of art exhibitions in both Mobile and Havana, presenting speakers in both cities and at universities in Alabama and Cuba, sponsoring production of films on the historical ties between the cities, including the origin of Cuban baseball in Mobile, hosting social events featuring Cuban music and musicians, sponsoring educational trips to Cuba and other related activities designed to embrace the historical ties between peoples of our cities.
