“Wanna fly, you got to give up the sh*t that weighs you down.” — Toni Morrison, Song of Solomon This Pride Month, we’re holding close the legacy of Black queer happiness. The kind that knows resistance can look like laughter, like chosen family, like showing up as your full self in a world that tries to shrink you. Toni Morrison taught us that joy is a kind of rebellion. That even in the face of violence, Black queer folks have always found ways to breathe, to live, to just be. To be Black and queer is to carry both a fight and freedom. To dance in the rain without fear of catching a cold. Pure living! We love our queer community down and honor the joy that keeps us going through it all. #PrideMonth #BlackQueerJoy (fb)

Who We Are I Be Black Girl IBBG is a reproductive justice organization that leads with boldness innovation and inspiration actively creating a radical changemaking culture that centers Black women femmes and girls. About Us Our Village Research 2023 RJ Summit Report 2023 Annual Report Advocacy I Be Black Girl believes policy is a driver for change within our approach to reproductive justice. Policy has historically been weaponized against Black communities. As a result we are committed to building Black political power to address the harm and chart a new experience of legislation that centers Black women femmes and girls.
