Society for the Study of the American Gothic – Society for the Study of the American Gothic (SSAG) Society for the Study of the American Gothic Society for the Study of the American Gothic SSAG The Society for the Study of the American Gothic SSAG was established in 2023 to promote and advance the study of the American Gothic through research teaching and publication. It is the goal of the Society to strengthen relations among persons and institutions both in the United States and internationally who are undertaking such studies and to broaden knowledge among the general public about the American Gothic in its many forms. The Society for the Study of the American Gothic is committed to creating a welcoming and accessible environment for all. We value the participation of women people of color members of the LGBTQ community and those with disabilities and will work diligently to ensure that all our events and activities are open respectful and safe.
