Nami-Brazos Valley
NAMI Brazos Valley supports individuals living with mental illness, the people who care about them, and the mental health and wellbeing of the community through support, education and advocacy. NAMI Brazos Valley primarily serves the residents of Brazos, Burleson, Robertson, Grimes, Leon, Madison and Washington Counties of Texas. NAMI Brazos Valley equips both the individuals living with mental illness as well as those that care about them with skills necessary to live through crisis and live well in recovery. Education programs ensure families, individuals, educators and the public get information they need to prevent and respond to mental health issues, to sustain mental wellbeing. Public awareness events and activities successfully combat stigma and encourage understanding. NAMI works with schools, public officials, and reporters to make sure our community understands how important mental health is. Members and supporters are the face and the voice of the NAMI movement. Our Brazos Valley families, individuals, friends and businesses – all come together to celebrate mental illness recovery, to honor those have lost their lives due to mental illness, including children and veterans, and to combat stigma, promote awareness and educate, support and advocate for others.
