Serenity Horse Rescue

Serenity Horse Rescue, Inc. (SHR) is dedicated to promoting equine welfare, rescuing abused, neglected or unwanted equines, and to educating the public in proper equine care. Our first priority is saving abused, neglected or unwanted equines, and to this extent we help in every way possible to rescue equines that are in life-threatening situations. SHR provides a safe haven while providing proper care and rehabilitative training to allow for the placement of the equines into permanent, loving home. Equines not suitable for adoption remain with Serenity Horse Rescue indefinitely in our Sanctuary Program. SHR additionally provides assistance for equine owners facing difficult economic times by working with the owner until a suitable future time when they are able to again care for their equine.
