The Jon Sims Endowment Fund for the Performing Arts, Inc. (JSEF) engages in donor solicitation and other fundraising activities on behalf of investing LGBTQ+ non-profit, tax-exempt performing arts organizations. JSEF holds and invests the funds that are so raised and distributes the earnings on them to investing organizations (and other worthy LGBTQ+ performing arts organizations) upon application by their respective Boards of Directors for such purposes as musical development and increased visibility to the general public, and in such amount as the Directors of JSEF assess as prudent.

Jon Sims Endowment Fund for the Performing Arts – Growing LGBTQ+ Performing Arts Providing Financial Support for LGBTQ Performing Arts Organizations Jon Sims began the LGBTQ performing arts movement when he formed a gay marching and concert band in San Francisco in 1978. To carry on his dream the JSEF attracts donations and bequests invests the contributions and distributes grants to qualified groups. With your assistance the JSEF can grow its endowment fund and provide more financial support for our performing arts family. Grants have helped LGBTQ organizations in all stages of development.
