A railroad museum in the San Francisco Bay Area celebrating yesterday, today and tomorrow. Welcome to the Golden Gate Railroad Museum (GGRM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of steam and passenger railroad equipment, and the interpretation of railroad history in the San Francisco Bay Area. MissionTo keep steam engine SP 2472 and associated heritage railcars and locomotives operational for present and future generations to represent the era of mid twentieth century railroading in Northern California.

We are a 501c3 nonprofit institution EIN 942844499. We are owned by the public for the good of the public. We the Board of Directors volunteers staff and membership are simply custodians of this public property.
