Summer has come early to the GGRM. Volunteers have de-winterized 2472 and given her a much needed wash along with other pieces of our equipment. Now that the suburban commute coaches are store in our Schellville yard, they’ve been opened up and allowed to ventilate. They will require a significant amount of work to be ready for excursion service but are a relatively simple design nonetheless. Looking for something fun to do as the weather warms up? Check out our railbike operation, Russian River Railbikes located in Cloverdale, CA. GGRM volunteers work tirelessly to operate this scenic adventure which currently serves as the museum's main source of income. Riders experience a 6 mile round trip through vineyards, a tunnel and many trees. River access and a picnic area is located at the northern turn around.
