Foundation Martin Dihigo Martin Magdaleno Dihigo Llanos conocido por los nombres de El inmortal y El Maestro nacio en el ingenio Jesus Maria Matanzas Cuba el 25 de mayo. Dihigo comenzo su carrera profesional en el beisbol en 192223 con el equipo cubano Habana como jugador de cuadro. Ese mismo ao de 1923 salio hacia Estados Unidos con solo 16 aos dentro del equipo Cuban Stars en la liga del este donde se desempeo en varias posiciones y comenzo su pericia de convertirse en el jugador mas completo del beisbol profesional mundial al ser capaz de jugar en las nueve posiciones con enorme destreza. Gracias a esa habilidad en dos ocasiones alcanzo ser lider de los bateadores y lanzadores en Cuba y Mexico.
