#KeepingTrackofOurTrains: This is Cliffside #110., built for a logging railroad during the 1920s. It operated in many places but mainly for a cotton mill before it was donated to the NC Railway Museum in 2012. #110 played an essential role in getting raw materials to the mill and then finished products back out to the mainline for distribution. #110 is a perfect picture of old-fashioned ingenuity and craftsmanship. Using many old-fashioned techniques it has had cosmetic restoration to what it looks like today (last image). Our volunteers are currently working hard to get this locomotive restored back to full operating condition.
