DC Theater Arts Collaborative
Our mission is to bring the Theater Arts to the Historic Anacostia District. Our mission is to bring arts performances, exhibits and instruction to Historic Anacostia. The DC Theater Arts Collaborative (DCTAC) was founded in 2012 to provide a home for the arts in Washington, DC. Our goal is to bring arts presentations, performances, exhibits, and instruction to neighborhoods with lower than average access to these experiences and services. Central to this goal is that costs be reasonable for artists and art groups, for students, and for patrons. With a long-range vision of serving neighborhoods through the District, our first facility is in Historic Anacostia on Shannon Place SE. In 2013 DCTAC completed construction work on and opened the doors of a new performance space called the Anacostia Playhouse.
