⛵Arctic sailing expedition update ⛵ It’s been a big couple of days on board the Nord Hus for explorers Lonnie Dupre and Pascale Marceau in their Arctic expedition. They’ve officially made it through the last of the Great Lakes, Lake Ontario. The expedition team will be gathering vital data for Adventure Scientists once they reach the Arctic, and we’re celebrating their progress every step of the way. The transition from Lake Ontario into the Saint Lawrence River was met with wind gusts and water rushing over the rails, but the team held their nerve and their luck to make it through. 🐝 Today, May 20th, is #WorldBeeDay! Bees play a critical role in pollination around the world, in fact, 35 percent of the world’s food crops depend on animal pollinators like bees. Yet bees, and bumble bees in particular, are increasingly threatened by pesticide use, land development, and other disruptions to their sources of food and shelter.
