"CROSSROADS" is a keyword this year, history and society at a crossroads, and in particular, rural communities as crossroads in the structuring of our world. Today, May 30, 2025 is the opening reception for the Museum of the White Mountains' new exhibit: The White Mountains: A Crossroads", which will be open to the public from May 31 to September 13, 2025. (https://www.plymouth.edu/mwm/event/2025/05/white-mountains-crossroads-opening-reception) The MWM exhibit will host a traveling exhibit (on the lower level), "Crossroads: Change in Rural America", developed and made available by the Smithsonian Institution. It will be open from May 31 through August 9, 2025. Concurrently, the Plymouth Historical Museum's 2025 exhibit, open June through November, 2025, is titled "Plymouth at the Crossroads". Our exhibit will focus on Plymouth and highlight its historic role in the region. Louise Samaha McCormack interviews Judy and Paul Floyd about their lives in Plymouth, NH, their connections to the Plymouth Historical Society and the Young Ladies Library Association. Judy is one of the founding members of the Plymouth Historical Society (1974).
