We are a safe shelter for women and their children trying to get away from their abuser. The Batesville Safe Shelter will be a safe haven for Domestic Violence victims and their children. Somewhere that they can go to get away from their abusers, get back on their feet and feel safe again. Domestic Violence is on the rise. Please donate as much as you can today so that we are able to start the building process. * Domestic Violence is the leading cause of injury to women exceeding injuries caused by muggings, stranger rape and automobile accidents combined. * In the United States a woman is battered every 9 seconds.
