We are a parish of the Orthodox Church in America; part of the worldwide Orthodox Church – the oldest Christian Church in the world. St. John the Evangelist Orthodox Church is a community of Orthodox Christians seeking to glorify God by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its entirety to all people in the Phoenix Arizona valley and beyond through: worship, the sacramental life, education, philanthropy, hospitality, fellowship and the practice of Christian Stewardship. We are dedicated to fulfilling our Lord Jesus Christ’s commandment to “Go into all the world and make disciples of all Nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that He has commanded” (Mt28:19-20) so that all people may be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
