Upwind Scholarship Program Overview Our Goal: Provide ground and flight training at no cost to successful scholarship candidate(s). At the end of the intensive 9-week summer flight training program, Upwind students earn a Private Pilot certificates. Scholarship is open to high school juniors that can attend daily training for 9-weeks during the summer between their junior and senior year in high school. Objectives: (1) Promote piloting and general aviation; and (2) cultivate interest in aviation as a career.

Upwind Scholarship Meet the Upwind Class of 2024. Upwind Foundation is pleased to announce the Upwind Class of 2024. The following San Francisco Bay Area high school juniors have been awarded the flight scholarship Cassidy Blackwood of Redwood City Eitan Petel of Foster City Sasha Markova of Foster City and Trevor Kawamura of San Mateo. In this accelerated flight training program these four aspiring young aviators will aim to earn their private pilots certificate after nine weeks of intensive instruction.
