A non-profit membership organization of pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists in Georgia. The Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics is incorporated in the state of Georgia. THE GEORGIA CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WITH THE FOLLOWING MISSION: A. TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH & WELFARE OF INFANTS, CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS IN GEORGIA; B. TO STUDY THE SCIENTIFIC, EDUCATIONAL; AND ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF MEDICINE TO SECURE AND MAINTAIN THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF PEDIATRIC CARE; C. TO UNITE QUALIFIED PEDIATRICIANS OF THE STATE INTO A REPRESENTATIVE ORGANIZATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE PRACTICE OF PEDIATRICS; D. TO PROMOTE EXCELLENCE IN PEDIATRIC CARE BY ORGANIZING PROGRAMS OF POST-GRADUATE EDUCATION; AND E. TO FURTHER THE POLICIES AND OBJECTIVES OF THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS AT THE STATE LEVEL.
