From the classroom to the community, Bridgewater College students bridged the gap between theory and real-world impact by creating marketing plans for local businesses, including Cosmic Smoke-N-BBQ LLC, The Book Dragon Bookshop, the City of Harrisonburg Tourism Office Gift Shop, Sandy Bottom Mini Golf and Sin Barreras. Associate Professor of Art Michael Hough is closing his final chapter at BC after 28 years of inspiring creativity and curiosity. Reflecting on his Bridgewater career, he commented that he has probably worked with nearly 300 senior art majors and taught close to 700 people to throw on the wheel in his ceramics classes. He also took more than 130 students to Spain as part of travel courses. “I’ve had some fabulous classes,” said Hough.
