STEEL IS CRITICAL TO PENNSYLVANIAS ECONOMY The steel industry provides secure highwage jobs for thousands of workers thousands of spinoff jobs and drives manufacturing innovation. Pennsylvania needs to implement prosteel policies that will grow the industry and create goodpaying jobs particularly at a time when we need familysustaining jobs more than ever. The Pennsylvania Steel Alliance is a partnership of Pennsylvanias steel companies and labor unions united to educate the public and elected officials about the positive impacts of the steel industry and the policy issues affecting the industrys growth. Steel Alliance members include labor organizations and steel companies across the state as well as organizations that support the steel industry.
