Bon Secours Hampton Roads recently celebrated the opening of Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Center with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting event.. This marks both a significant expansion of its health care footprint in Western Hampton Roads and the launch of Bon Secours' first smart hospital. “For more than two decades, Bon Secours has been committed to improving access to quality care in Suffolk and Western Hampton Roads,” said Pat Davis-Hagens, president of Bon Secours Hampton Roads. “This hospital represents the next step in that commitment — a place where technology, compassion and community converge to deliver exceptional care closer to home.” The newly constructed, three-story, 100,000-square-foot hospital adjoins the longstanding Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View, creating a comprehensive, full-service medical campus in Suffolk. With an investment of approximately $85 million, this new facility brings 18 private inpatient rooms, four state-of-the-art operating rooms, with access to emergency, imaging, primary care and specialty services — all designed to meet the growing needs of one of the region’s fastest-developing communities. The medical center is the first smart hospital within the Bon Secours system, powered by a strategic partnership with Hellocare.ai, an end-to-end digital health care delivery platform and Accrete Health Partners, the digital transformation engine of Bon Secours and a digital transformation leader in health system innovation. Through this collaboration, Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Center features a secure, unified, AI-enabled digital care platform that enhances the patient experience and patient safety, while supporting clinicians with real-time data, virtual nursing, ambient documentation and digital whiteboards.
