PER SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS SECTION 59-152-10: THERE IS ESTABLISHED THE SOUTH CAROLINA FIRST STEPS TO SCHOOL READINESS, A COMPREHENSIVE, RESULTS- OREIENTED INITIATIVE FOR IMPROVING EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT BY PROVIDING, THROUGH LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE FUNDS, AND SUPPORT FOR HIGH-QUALITY EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION SERVICES FOR CHILDREN BY PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR THEIR FAMILIES' EFFORTS TOWARD ENABLING THEIR CHILDREN TO REACH SCHOOL READY TO SUCCEED.

About Us Programs Resources As the Executive Director of Saluda County First Steps I have had the opportunity to have creative ways to impact the early education of young children in Saluda County. Saluda County First Steps programs along with our collaboration with other county agencies Saluda County School District One Carolina Health Centers Inc. Saluda County Library Saluda DSS SC Endeavors and other county agencies have brought about new and inventive ways to provide the highest quality of care and education for your youngest children and their families.
