Overview

The Cynthiana Harrison County Trust Inc is a non-profit organization established in 1993 with the mission of preserving the history of the Cynthiana-Harrison County community in Kentucky. The board consists of several key members including Mary Grable as President and Jeff Kinney as Vice President, among others. The organization relies heavily on dedicated volunteers who contribute to its daily operations.

Historical Significance

One of the museum's most prized collections includes over 100 handwritten letters by Harrison County resident William Jones to his wife Mary during his service in the Civil War. These letters, dated from 1864, provide invaluable insights into life on the battlefield and personal relationships during wartime.

Community Engagement

The organization also supports educational activities through the HarriCyn Junior History Club, which meets monthly to foster interest in local history among children. This initiative aims to engage younger generations with the community's rich past.
