PARR supports and serves the amputee community by connecting research, education, and clinical care There are gaps between education, research, and clinical care in the prosthetic community. PARR aims to bridge these gaps, ultimately benefiting amputees. PARR sponsors educational courses for rehabilitation specialists, including physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and certified prosthetists and orthotists. PARR supports unique athletic and recreational events in which people living with limb loss can participate. PARR foundation directors provide knowledge and services to the amputee community that would otherwise be difficult to access, as such services are not covered by insurance or therapy. PARR volunteers in the community by teaching programs for walking, biking, and other therapeutic techniques.
