Adrenal Insufficiency United (AIU) was founded in 2011 by parents of children with adrenal insufficiency. AIU provides support and education to those of all ages and types of AI. In July of 2016 AIU consolidated with the Adrenal Insufficiency Coalition (AIC). AIC is committed to improving patient care through research. Our mutual goals and complimentary approaches combined to create a balanced platform able to address the wide variety of issues faced by the AI community. AIU: Working to improve the lives of those affected by adrenal insufficiency through advocacy, awareness, collaboration, education, and support. AIC: Improving patient care through investigation, education and empowerment.
