Vision: The DAA strives for a world where dementia symptoms are better understood, supported and accommodated as a disability. Goals: • Provide a platform to amplify the voices and inclusion of people living with dementia and care partners. • To transform practices from a medicalized model to a person-centered one. • To convene and facilitate the exchange of ideas and perspectives among diverse stakeholders to reduce misperceptions and stigmatizing behaviors about dementia. • To identify needs and gaps in policy, practices, and research and work to develop viable solutions. • To respond to national issues that impact the well-being of people living with dementia and care partners.
