Dedicated to service in conservation Lakes woodlands ancient sand dunesnative prairie picnic grounds Scout facilities wetlands and Senior Hall with its collection of memorabilia and art make up the 193 acres of the Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve. We host many events throughout the calendar year including the Fourth of July Village Picnic a November Turkey Raffle Art Gallery events and regular nature talks and presentations in our newly renovated Senior Hall named after Art Senior the gentleman largely responsible for the existence of the HIWP. It is our members contributions and volunteerism that make the Preserve such a wonderful place to enjoy nature. We are completely selfsupporting and all proceeds go to the maintenance of the preserve.
