Homestretch is a comprehensive housing program that helps homeless families with children in Virginia to find the resources they need to rebuild their lives. Homestretch's mission is to empower homeless families to secure permanent housing and attain the skills, knowledge and hope they need to achieve self-sufficiency. Homestretch accomplishes this mission by providing families with subsidized housing and support services for up to two years. This long-term approach gives them sufficient time to develop the skills necessary to obtain and, more importantly, maintain permanent housing.
