ROC provides on-the-job training to veterans who turn dilapidated buildings into renovated apartments for homeless domestic violence survivors & their children. Responsive to our Community (ROC) is a 501(c)3 charity that offers on-the-job training for at-risk veterans to turn vacant, dilapidated buildings into renovated apartments for homeless domestic violence survivors and their children. One: Stabilize and rehabilitate neighborhoods by purchasing and refurbishing dilapidated and vacant buildings. Two: Provide on-the-job construction training to vulnerable veterans (i.e. prior substance abuse issues, large gaps in employment history, or past criminal records). Three: Provide these newly renovated, safe, and affordable apartments to homeless battered women and children who have been subject to domestic violence.
