Who We Are We Believe. Alliance for Public Schools was formed in Florida in 2012 in response to chronically low public school funding educator pay that ranks near the bottom of the country and harmful policies for students. Alliance for Public Schools was founded by parents and community members who believe that public education must be a shared community value and priority worthy of investment. Together we champion meaningful engagement in support of students educators and our public schools and advocate for increased funding and policies that promote student success.
