Rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cocker spaniels and spaniel mixes of all ages in the Mid-Atlantic Region since 1996. Fighting animal cruelty and rescuing cocker spaniels and spaniel mixes in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Be sure to visit us at: www.cockerspanielrescue.com Our mission and purpose is to help homeless, abused, neglected Cocker Spaniels and Spaniel mixes by providing refuge, medical care, rehabilitation, socialization and re-homing. Founded in 1996 and granted non-profit status in 1999, OBG is a network of foster homes in the Washington, DC Metro area. Companion Cockers receive medical care, spay/neuter, tests, and vaccines. Fostering allows the dog to re-acclimate to a home environment. Adoptive families are matched to a dog's temperament. OBG is an all volunteer organization sheltering dogs once slated for euthanasia. OBG seeks to educate our community about the plight of the Cocker Spaniel, the benefits of adopting a shelter (or owner-surrendered) dog, thereby decreasing demand for over-breeding.
