Meet Ruth...After the heartbreaking loss of both her parents, Ruth was left alone, grieving, and vulnerable. In search of stability and survival, she entered into early marriage—but when that environment turned dangerous, she made the courageous decision to leave in order to protect her newborn daughter. As a teenage mother with no support and burdened by stigma, Ruth felt hopeless. But everything began to change when she joined Zoe Empowers. Today, Ruth owns a baking business, has earned her community’s respect, and is a mentor for young girls facing similar challenges of early marriage.
