Nonprofit 501(c)3 Organization ~ Global Federation of Animal Sanctuary/Accredited Mini Horse Rescue So Cal Mini Horse Sanctuary is a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization located in Hemet, CA that is dedicated to rescuing, caring for, nurturing and healing miniature horses with the ultimate goal of finding forever, loving homes for our minis. 100% of our donations go to the minis. We do not have any administrative costs. Everyone associated with our sanctuary is considered a volunteer. We have a board of directors consisting of seven members that meet quarterly. We are a verified member of the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. Recognition by GFAS is the most prestigious award given to animal sanctuaries globally. Our rescued horses usually require extensive care. Therefore, with rescues arriving often, our costs of care are growing.
