Smooch Pooch Dog Rescue is a state and federal registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is 100% volunteer based. We are not a shelter, we are a private rescue organization that rescues all breed dogs and other animals from various unfortunate situations. We work with our local shelters to save dogs who are on their last days and sometimes hours. We rescue many dogs with behavioral issues and medical needs. We are a small rescue and our focus is on finding the right home/match for each of our animals. We educate and promote adoption rather than purchasing animals and work on spay/neutering of animals.

Home | mysite Animal RescueOrganization Gus Before After Gus was turned into a shelter by his owner for euthanasia due to severe skin issues. Gus was on the table moments from euthanasia but luckily the shelter was able to get a release from the owner and contacted us. We saved sweet Gus and got him straight to Dr. Kirby our savior at Animal Dermatology Clinic where it was discovered he had MRSA so typical antibiotics were ineffective.
