Mayslake Ministries is a not-for profit 501c.3 Christian organization which exists to foster the spiritual growth of Christian/Catholic adults from all walks of life, through enrichment programs, spiritual direction, and retreats.In 2016, Mayslake Ministries celebrates 25 years of providing spiritual direction and support to thousands of people throughout the Chicago area through workshops, retreats, on-line programming, and individual counseling. The only organization of its kind in the Chicago area, Mayslake Ministries is a Christian/Catholic lay-managed organization that strives to holistically incorporate elements of spirituality and faith with traditional cognitive counseling that integrates mind, body, and emotions. Each year Mayslake Ministries serves over 5,000 individuals through workshops, retreats, and spiritual direction. Another 35,000 turn to Mayslake Ministries' support through on-line servicesA leader in the field of spiritual direction, Mayslake Ministries has 23 certified spiritual directors and a licensed pastoral counselor, each skilled in a variety of areas such as grief, job loss, addiction, depression, infertility and adoption, elder/caregiver issues, military and first-responder support, oncology issues, marriage, and men's and women's spirituality.
