FRIENDS FOR ANIMALS HUMANE SOCIETY OF BURKE COUNTY INC
Non-profit no-kill animal shelter. All animals are spayed/neutered, and vaccinated before adoption. FFA provides immediate refuge and shelter to animals that have been abandoned by their owners and/or turned in to the local animal control facility where, if not claimed, are euthanized. We have a contract with Animal Control in that animals kept after 5 days may be released to our shelter if room permits so that they may be advertised for adoption. We also campaign vigorously and provide community information that strongly emphasizes the value and need for animal spaying/neutering. We remain committed to one ultimate goal: that no adoptable animal will be euthanized in Burke County and that we will promote the value of spaying/neutering whenever and wherever possible. FFA is a 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization.There are no state mandates in Burke County.
