The Two Harbors Area Food Shelf (THAFS) has been serving the area in rural Lake County since 1982. THAFS applied and was granted 501 (c) 3 nonprofit status in October 2014, with the mission to “Reduce hunger and improve the health of people in need by providing food and other resources at no cost”. THAFS operates with a seven member Board of Directors as well as staff support. THAFS is open for food distribution Tuesdays from 10:00am – 3:45pm, serving an average of 145 households each month.

It’s Inside Shopping Day at the Food Shelf this afternoon from 3:00 - 6:00PM. Please note: we’ll be closed as of 6:00PM so our volunteers can clean-up the space and head out shortly after we close. If you can’t make it in time to complete your selections before 6:00 PM today, you are welcome to come by and pick up an emergency food box of non-perishable items by calling us at 218-391-8191.
