ZIMELE USA, A NEW JERSEY NONPROFIT CORPORATION, EXISTS TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF AND FUNDRAISE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING RELIEF TO THE POOR, DISTRESSED, AND UNDERPRIVILEGED IN THE KWA-ZULU NATAL REGION OF SOUTH AFRICA. THE MISSION OF ZIMELE USA IS TO CONFRONT THE ROOT CAUSES OF POVERTY AND REMOVE BARRIERS TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY IN RURAL SOUTH AFRICA BY EMPOWERING WOMEN WITH SKILLS, RESOURCES, AND SUPPORT NETWORKS TO START BUSINESSES AND SOCIAL SERVICE PROJECTS TO SUSTAIN THEMSELVES, THEIR FAMILIES, AND THEIR COMMUNITIES.
